Despite its superb performance, the Monarch has been refined in detail. The Rapid Recovery rebound system absorbs rapid and medium-hard shocks in such a way that the suspension isn't fully deployed, but still retains a reserve for large, hard impacts without compromising control. Spring quality is improved through even lower-friction seals and a new compression channel. This increases adjustability, making the Monarch even smoother and more consistent.

Despite its sleek design, the chassis offers the necessary resilience and adjustability to effortlessly conquer mighty cross-country trails and hellish climbs. The Monarch combines the improved Solo Air suspension with a modified damping system and Dual-Flow rebound, offering the ideal balance between performance on hits and outstanding efficiency.

The lightweight SoloAir suspension uses a single valve to easily and effectively fill positive and negative air chambers to adjust the shock's spring stiffness. The increased chamber volume, thanks to DebonAir technology, results in a more linear characteristic. The shock compresses more easily at the beginning of its stroke, resulting in a more sensitive and responsive rear end.
